The Texas Rowing second novice eight team, with coxswain Emma Dirks, Sharon Dietz, Lucia Babar, Kait Postle, Ashley Hiatt, Andrea Janowski, Madonna Bregon, Daryn Ofczarzak and Dani Mohling, finished with a time of 7:34.5, defeating Iowa which completed the race in 7:35.6. This was the second session of the Longhorn Invitational, Saturday morning, March 21, 2009 on Lady Bird Lake. They won a total of three races over the weekend.
