The Texas Rowing first varsity eight team, with coxswain Mary Cait McPherson, stroke Jen VanderMaarel, Felicia Izaguirre-Werner, Meg George, Nancy Arrington, Jelena Zunic, Karli Sheahan, Colleen Irby and Sara Cottingham, finished with a time of 7:09.3, losing to Wisconsin, which completed the race in 7:01.1. This was the third session of the Longhorn Invitational, Saturday afternoon, March 21, 2009 on Lady Bird Lake.
